On Android: Settings → System → Languages → Add a language → தமிழ். Keep English first if you like — just having Tamil on the list is enough.
On iPhone: Settings → General → Language & Region → Add Language → தமிழ்.
You don’t have to switch your whole phone to Tamil. You’re simply telling your device, “I belong to this language too.” English stays exactly where it is.
